Client &
Vision

Section icon

TigerPug is a cross-border eCommerce company specialising in brand online store operations, physical product import and distribution, and selling across major marketplaces including Amazon.in. They manage merchandise sourcing from overseas sellers, customs documentation, and fulfilment across multiple Amazon accounts serving both domestic and international product lines.

Their goal was to unify all marketplace operations — inventory, shipping, compliance, and trade coordination — into a single digital platform. The challenge was doing this without disrupting live Amazon operations or adding headcount to manage the transition.

The
Challenge

Section icon

TigerPug was managing cross-border trade through a combination of paper-based workflows, manual Excel spreadsheets, and disconnected marketplace portals. As their product catalogue and marketplace presence expanded, the gaps became critical: shipment approvals had no tracking system, exporter-importer coordination ran entirely through email and phone calls, and understanding the full state of operations required collating reports from multiple sources by hand.

Pain Points
Deep-Dive

Section icon
  • Centralised Inventory Absence — Stock levels across multiple Amazon fulfilment centres lived in separate Excel sheets with no live sync — the same SKU was being over-ordered on one account while running out of stock on another with no alert mechanism in place.
  • Paper-Based Import-Export Workflow — Customs documentation, packing lists, and shipping labels were generated manually for every shipment — a multi-day, error-prone process that caused clearance delays and compliance inconsistencies at the border.
  • No Shipment Approval Status Tracking — There was no system to track where each shipment stood in the approval chain — the operations team was chasing status through WhatsApp messages and direct phone calls to the logistics desk.
  • Manual Packing List and Labeling — Every outbound shipment required a hand-prepared packing list and label with no template enforcement — inconsistencies in HSN code, GST detail, and weight declarations caused rejections at dispatch.
  • Disconnected Exporters and Importers — Cross-border trade required constant back-and-forth between the export desk and the import team — no shared workflow, no compliance trail, and no single record of what was agreed or approved on either side.

Solution
Delivered

We built a multi-module cross-border eCommerce management platform on ReactJS and NodeJS with deep Amazon MWS API integration. The Commerce Connector was the technical centrepiece — a unified dashboard pulling live data from all marketplace accounts and fulfilment centres into a single operational view.

For the operations team, this meant the end of switching between marketplace portals, Excel sheets, and paper records just to understand what was in stock or where a shipment stood. For the trade team, the Trade Tracker module replaced the entire exporter-importer coordination workflow — structured, compliance-auditable, and built directly into the platform they already used every day.

  1. 1

    Commerce Connector: Multi-Marketplace Unified Dashboard

Separate marketplace logins and manually collated Excel performance reports Centralised monitoring and management of orders, inventory, and performance data across all Amazon marketplace accounts in real time - one screen for the entire multi-marketplace operation, eliminating the daily portal-to-portal switch.

  2. 2

Amazon MWS API Integration: Automated Data Exchange

Manual data entry and export cycles into Amazon Seller Central Programmatic extraction and upload of orders, inventory reports, and fulfilment data - eliminating rekeying errors, daily sync delays, and the manual export-import cycle that was taking hours each morning before operations could begin.

  3. 3

Stock Transfer Note (STN) Module: Compliance-Ready Inventory Movement

Manual Excel logs and hand-written transfer records for inter-account stock movement Auto-generates STN records with GST registration number, product HSN code, and tax rate for every stock movement between Amazon fulfilment centres - compliant, traceable, and produced in seconds instead of hours.

  4. 4

    Trade Tracker: Exporter-Importer Coordination Engine

Email chains and WhatsApp threads for cross-border compliance coordination Structured workflow for managing legal compliance on both sides of every Amazon India cross-border transaction - shared status visibility, documented approvals, and a full compliance trail replacing the fragmented back-and-forth that previously had no audit record.

Discovery: Workflow Audit

3 days mapping TigerPug's existing operations — identified 6 core manual workflows across inventory tracking, shipment approval, customs documentation, and cross-border trade coordination that needed complete system replacement, not improvement.

Architecture: Stack and Data Model

Chose ReactJS + NodeJS with Amazon MWS API as the integration backbone; designed the data model around multi-marketplace SKU tracking, cross-account inventory reconciliation, and compliance document generation from a single record.

Module Development: 4 Core Modules
